By now you have probably heard about the exciting concept of crowdfunding. But have you wondered how crowdfunding actually works and how you might use it to raise money and public support for your projects?

Clean Reach is a global reward-based crowdfunding platform to advance the renewable energy industry. We use the power of crowdfunding to raise funds and public visibility for renewable energy initiative.

Clean Reach was created to address three universal challenges: a) lack of funding, or the 'valley of death' for early stage technology or project development as well as for associated initiatives (eg, environmental studies, consents, etc.), b) lack of public understanding and support about renewable energy and c) lack of business-to-business information and resource exchange. Our goal is to build a powerful international community of renewable energy supporters to help propel the success of an industry that has the capacity to power the world.

A well-executed crowdfunding campaign can achieve both fundraising and marketing success. It gives project owners a place to tell their story in a compelling way, leverage current relationships and create new ones. When done right, the campaign will favorably position a project in the marketplace and open doors to new opportunities.

In cooperation with Startup Lisboa, Clean Reach is implementing a SEPARATE 90-minute interactive workshop on 10 October from 14:30 - 16:00. The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with guidance on how to design and carry out a well-executed crowdfunding campaign. Key questions the workshop will address include:
• What is crowdfunding?
• What are the different types of crowdfunding?
• How does reward-based crowdfunding work?
• What are the 3 critical requirements to implementing a successful rewards-based crowdfunding campaign?
• What are primary steps to building a successful campaign?
